Welcome Family and Friends
Holly and I would like to take this opportunity to thank everyone for their friendship and support over the past few years of our relationship, and the many years of our friendship. We wish we could personally afford to pay for each and every person to be with us on this special day. Since we can't afford to do that, we understand that you may not be able to come due to costs.
However, we do still wish to see you and enjoy your company. So we are planning a post-wedding party back in the States for those of you who are unable to make the event. Please click on "Unable to Attend" on the left hand side to find out more.
August 24th, 2009 --Pig Roast plans are moving forward. We will still see all those coming on Saturday, September 19th. We have some space still available for those who need to crash. Please get in touch with us with questions!
August 20th, 2009 --We have been featured in Offbeat Bride for our unconventional, but fantastic, Wedding. Thank you all for helping to make it so special!
August 17th, 2009 --I added an SFTP server to the same IP, same username and password. For those of you that know how to use SFTP, feel free to login and jump to /cygdrive/e/Pictures/BVIWeddingUploads/ to access the wedding pictures and add yours to the mix. Those of you who do not know how to use it, please e-mail me and I will send you instructions
August 7th, 2009 --I have FINALLY prepped a picture location. Please upload all of your pictures HERE. The user is "BVIWedding" and the password is "l3v3rick". Please upload into the appropriate folders, e-mail me if you have any problems.
July 22nd, 2009 --We have returned! Everything about the trip was a smashing success. The bumps in the road were, for the most part, minor. We only have one lasting injury, everyone else will be stuck with just lasting memories, which is completely acceptable. I'm working on a central place for everyone to copy their pictures up to. In the meantime, you facebook people already have seen most of whats out there. I'll post a link to the file-server when I get it up... but everyone will need to e-mail me for the password!
July 2nd, 2009 --We leave at 7am tomorrow morning. All final questions, please contact us through the normal means! Our Charter Company is Catamaran Co, we are on Sailing Vessel Waypoint II, we will see all of you there, or when we return on July 19th!
June 30th, 2009 --We are leaving in two days! Please e-mail or call if you have any last minute questions! The ceremony will be held at 4:30pm on July 11th on the beach near the pavillion and Jumbie's beach bar. The reception will follow immediately afterwards in the pavillion. Dress is island attire. (Hawaiian shirt and shorts/linen pants for guys; Sarongs or sundresses for the ladies) We can't wait to see you all!
June 18th, 2009 --In 15 days we will be on a plane to BVI! Please check your e-mails from us for last-minute information about what to bring, what not to bring, and events. On Friday July 10th, Uncle Al is renting a powerboat from Leverick to meet the wedding boat en route back to Leverick. Those who want to join in, can coordinate with him Wednesday or Thursday night!
May 12th, 2009 --The wedding boat is now paid in full! The Water Taxi from St. Thomas now has a head count of 10 folks, which puts us pretty much at the limit there. The location on Leverick has been chosen, both the ceremony and the reception will be shoes optional. Pictures for wedding party and family members will be on the dock, so have shoes readily available.
April 27th, 2009 --Thank you all for the overwhelming positive responses, we have more than 40 folks who will be joining us on Virgin Gorda for the ceremony and celebration. For those of you who we will see in September, we have some updates coming so you will be informed on the state-side Pig Roast celebration!
March 26th, 2009 --Guests have discovered that there is a St. Thomas -> Virgin Gorda ferry on Tuesdays and Thursdays that will cut down on transport time. Also, the Willy T's party is running later as we have found a Taxi that will run into the evening. Please check the updated itinerary
March 20, 2009 --Anyone who hasn't had a chance please RSVP before the 10th of April. We need to have final numbers for our caterer by then. I know the invitations say the 1st, but we're pushing it back for the e-invite people that didn't know the specific drop-dead date.
March, 1, 2009 --Almost all invitations are out. If you haven't gotten one, we apologize, we may just not have your address or figured that the e-mail invite was perfect for your level of tech savvy. Major update to the calendar. We now have a more definitive schedule of events. Please contact us with any questions!
Feb, 9, 2009 --We have sent out the first batch of invitations! We are not sending paper invites to everyone for a slew of reasons, so don't be offended if you don't get one! If you feel slighted and want a paper invite, send us an e-mail and we'll send you one! You don't need a paper invite to attend!
Jan, 28, 2009 --The invitations have arrived and we're putting them together to send them out. We're trying to send them to everyone, but since we've passed out the web address to more people than we have on our invite list, we apologize in advance if you don't get a paper invitation to go along with your digital one. Don't forget about the state-side celebration in September. Check the "Unable to Attend" page for more information!
Dec, 23, 2008 --Been a while since I've updated. Due to various reasons, we are no longer going to have a large entourage at Coconut Grove. However, Leverick is still hosting everything and has plenty of room for guests! If you haven't booked your plane or contacted Monica yet, DO SO!! Flight prices are increasing every day you delay!
Oct 29, 2008 --Our flights have been booked. Turns out we were able to get significantly cheaper flights booking through orbitz than through travelocity, we were also able to reduce the cost a great deal by flying to St Thomas, then taking a ferry over to BVI. We highly recommend checking it out!
Oct 24, 2008 -- Calendar is up and available. Check it out to see what is already scheduled and planned. Remember, all events are optional!
Oct 23, 2008 -- The boat has been reserved! We are now committed (certifiably) to the time frame. While we are full up, we look forward to having guests and taking some relaxing cruises around the islands.
Oct 17th, 2008 -- We have picked a location, Leverick Bay Resort. We have updated the "Lodging" section of our site so that you can start looking at places to stay. We will be announcing the date sometime this coming week, so stay tuned!
